De kogel is door de kerk.
Ik heb mezelf, na lang beraad, getrakteerd op een Flickr pro account. Ik heb Zooomr nu een tijdlang gebruikt, en het is allemaal heel deftig hoor. Maar ondanks het feit dat het gratis is, heeft Flickr (imho) een paar gigantische voordelen.
- Flickr is sneller dan Zooomr
- De hele wereld zit op Flickr met zijn foto’s.
- Wanneer je een Flickr fotoset bekijkt, zie je eenvoudig in welke sets een foto nog zit.
- Je kan bij Flickr-sets zelf de volgorde bepalen.
- Er zijn veel meer plugins, tools en toys voor Flickr te vinden dan voor Zooomr. (Zooomr zijn API lijkt maar niet in orde te komen, waardoor er ook niks kan ontwikkeld worden hiervoor.)
- Via Flickr kan je eenvoudig fotoboeken, kaartjes, posters, stickers en veel meer laten maken.
- 47,99$ voor 2 jaar, das minder dan 2$ per maand. En met de huidige koers van de dollar is dat echt een koopje.
Daartegenover heeft Zooomr deze voordelen:
- Het is gratis.
- Er is lightbox ondersteuning. Al geef ik toe dat ik meestal onmiddellijk naar de foto kijk op zijn pagina.
- Je kan Zooomr sets automatotisch laten samenstellen op basis van tags. Wanneer je dan foto’s upload die aan die tags beantwoorden komen ze onmiddellijk mee in de betreffende set.
- Je kan people-tags gebruiken. Alleen jammer dus dat amper iemand die ik ken een Zooomr-account heeft. (Ok, je kan ook mensen die niet op Zooomr zitten aanduiden op je foto’s, maar dat is toch maar telkens weer een heel gedoe.)
Na deze afwegingen heb ik me dit weekend dan eindelijk een Flickr Pro account aangeschaft. Nu heb ik nog de uitgebreide taak om zo ongeveer al mijn foto’s te verhuizen. Die van Kroatië zijn al aan het uploaden.
Een nadeel van Flickr echter nog. Ik kan me zo enkele mensen bedenken die het geweldig lollig gaan vinden wanneer ik tegen hen zeg : “Mijn foto’s staan op Flickr”.
Binnenkort dus meer foto’s hier te vinden.

Voila, gryphin.be zit in een nieuw kleedje.
Enfin, het is nog steeds het SCP Flex theme, maar met enkele ‘details’ gewijzigd. Er is een andere header en de achtergrond aan de zijkant is ook gewijzigd. Aan al degenen die via de feed deze site volgen : Ga eens een kijkje nemen

De foto in de header is vorig jaar in Kroatië genomen. Ik kan zelf wel niet met de eer gaan lopen, hij is wel met mijn camera gemaakt, maar het was Nina of Pelle die hiervoor verantwoordelijk was.
Ok, u hebt het goed gezien, hij is inderdeed gespiegeld. Anders zat de zon in de letters van mijn titel.
Hoogstwaarschijnlijk wijzig ik binnenkort nog wel enkele dingen, to be continued dus…
